Rika’s hands worked on a piece of denim: a jacket filigreed with hand-stitched bands of cloth, safety pins, and glow-in-the-dark thread. Each patch bore a story—frayed fabric from a busking spot, a cloth from the lead singer’s childhood kimono, a scrap of a flyer from their first tiny gig. Tonight, the jacket would become a map of the year they’d lived and toured and stumbled together.

The "Friends 35 Patched" collection is a unique series of patches and accessories that Nishimura created in collaboration with the Japanese fashion brand, Friends. The collection features a range of colorful, embroidered patches adorned with playful designs, from cartoon-inspired characters to abstract shapes and logos. Each patch is meticulously crafted with attention to detail, showcasing Nishimura's signature style and attention to detail.
