The foundation of Counter-Strike Xtreme V9 is built entirely on the GoldSrc engine, but it incorporates features heavily inspired by Nexon's Counter-Strike Online (CSO). Instead of strict 5v5 bomb defusal tactical setups, V9 prioritizes chaotic fun, fast respawns, and massive weapon varieties.
