About the Project

Wing Commander was an incredibly popular space combat simulator series from the '90s known for its strong narratives. With Wing Commander III, the series switched to full motion video. With Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom the series created what is probably the greatest example of the medium, with hollywood budgets, real sets and an outstanding cast including Mark Hamill, Malcolm McDowell, John Rhys-Davies and Tom Wilson.

This project is a fan attempt to allow owners of Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom to enjoy a more modern experience by loading the files from the original game into a new engine, complete with specially created, high definition assets.

Cyber threats make standard passwords obsolete. However, standard 2FA setups trap data on a single physical device, leading to lockout risks if a phone is lost.

In contemporary cybersecurity contexts, terms like "2fa rip" typically surface in discussions regarding Two-Factor Authentication , browser-based TOTP code generators, and automated robotic process testing frameworks. Security researchers, developers, and system administrators must understand what the "new" landscape of 2FA management looks like to properly guard their systems or optimize automated cross-device testing. For years, the most common form of 2FA was the SMS-based one-time password (OTP). While better than nothing, this method has become increasingly vulnerable. Modern hackers use "SIM swapping"—tricking mobile carriers into transferring a victim's phone number—or intercepting SMS traffic to bypass these locks. Additionally, sophisticated phishing kits, such as the recently disrupted "Tycoon 2FA" service, can now capture both passwords and 2FA codes in real-time, rendering standard 2FA ineffective against targeted attacks.
